
At Freedom Support Services, we offer Residency Opportunities for recent graduates and experienced counselors who are ready to begin their professional journey toward full licensure. We provide an enriching, hands-on experience for those completing the Residency requirement in Counselor Education, Marriage & Family Counseling, Counseling Psychology, or Social Work. Our residency program is designed to support you as you build the skills and confidence needed to become an independent, licensed counselor in Virginia.
Our experienced team of licensed professionals offers individualized supervision to help you meet your clinical hours, navigate ethical dilemmas, and grow as a counselor. You’ll work with a diverse client base, gaining practical experience in a private practice setting while receiving valuable guidance and feedback as you prepare for licensure.

What We Look for in Residents:

Graduate students in Counselor Education, Marriage & Family Counseling, Counseling Psychology, or Social Work programs
